The Buffarel is an authentic ancient house built in the “caussenard” style from the 16th to the 18th century. The walls are made of stone (limestone) and the roofs also are covered with limestone slates, here called “lauzes”. Located close to the “Parc Naturel Régional des Grands Causses”, 25 km from Millau and 16 km from the free A75 motorway.
This house is suitable up to 12 persons, from April to October, with a closed garden, a secured swimming-pool. Numerous leisure activities are as well available : 6 mountain bikes, table tennis, music, piano karaoke and TV.
Located on a crest of the Causse de Sauveterre, the Buffarel is an ideal starting point for hiking, horse riding, mountain climbing, canyoning, rafting and angling. You can also visit the “Gorges du Tarn” or de la Jonte, the Aven Armand and Dargilan caves, the Peyrelade medieval castle, the famous Roquefort cheese caves, the Templar and Hospitaliers sites on the Larzac, and last but not least the Millau Viaduct.
