The Buffarel is an authentic ancient house built in the “caussenard” style from the 16th to the 18th century. The walls are made of stone (limestone) and the roofs also are covered with limestone slates, here called “lauzes”. Located close to the “Parc Naturel Régional des Grands Causses”, 25 km from Millau and 16 km from the free A75 motorway.
Our house can welcome up to 12 persons, with 5 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, a small kitchen, a sitting-room with a big fireplace, a dining-room and a small “4 voulted” living-room with karaoke piano, on two main levels.
This ancient farmhouse has been kept authentic. Near the fireplace, you can see the “potager”, a holed stone bank, which enabled the peasants to take a hot meal, all the day long, for the cold winter days. You also can look at the Bread Oven with its “gothic” door. Its bigger part is today lying in the neighbour sheepfold, unlike the local tradition ! Some modern comfort is available. The kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, an electric oven, a microwave oven, a fridge, a freezer, a coffee machine… Are also available a washing machine, a tumble dryer, an electric iron.
The secured swimming-pool is 11.5 x 5 meters, located close to the house, on the east side, in a closed 3000 m² garden which can be lighted. A fixed BBQ is available between the house and the swimming-pool
